Lose Weight By Eating More

What about all those people who claim they were in starvation mode? They are claim to lose weight if they do it. Well, in a way, you can lose weight by eating more. However, that is slightly different than 'extra calories to cancel the saving mode'. There are roughly three options:

1. Less Binge Eating
When people accidentally overeat, it often comes in the form of binge eating. At first they eat too little for a while, and then very much at once because of hunger. The consequence? Many calories, but especially many memories of 'eating little and strict diets'. This makes it seem like you're doing the right thing, and you don't lose weight.

If you eat a little more, it will prevent those moments that you overeat. The total number of calories you eat thus decreases, even if you feel that you eat more. And so you lose weight by eating more!

2. Fewer Calories
Another option is that people who eat more will also pay more attention to their diet. They quickly eat more healthy and relatively low-calorie products such as fruit and vegetables. Fat and unhealthy products have less chance, as do extra calories that you consume without thinking.

For example, these people receive more food in terms of volume, but not in terms of calories! Again, the following applies: you are eating more, and you still lose weight. (Exactly the reason why you should eat as much raw, fiber-rich food as possible, so.)

3. More Energy
If you eat extremely low calories, you will not only notice this on the scales. You also get tired and lifeless. That leads pretty quickly that you're less movement - extra evenings on the couch and sometimes even less time in the gym. This will reduce your calorie consumption, often largely unnoticed.

If you eat normally again, you will soon feel like just moving. Even if you stop exercising, you will simply walk around and move otherwise. If you don't eat too much extra, it can just lead to you losing weight.

So ... If You Don't Lose Weight?
Starvation mode is nonsense, to begin with. There is no such thing as an automatic 'stop' on your metabolism if you eat too little. Losing weight by eating more does not just work: more calories never automatically lead to more fat loss.

However, that does not mean that you should always eat even fewer calories when your weight loss comes to a halt. At some point that just becomes unhealthy. The best thing to do is to forget about the whole diet. First focus on health for a while. An energetic feeling and nutrients are more important than getting to your target weight as quickly as possible!

Do you find yourself feeling better again? Then decrease the number of calories a little again - never more than 20% of your calorie requirement. You will notice that losing weight is a lot easier!
